City Government and Services

Office on Aging and Human Resources

The City of North Royalton makes available services for its elderly and handicapped citizens. The North Royalton Senior Van provides transportation for senior citizens only. Those who are unable to drive can schedule a ride for shopping or medical appointments within the community.

The Office on Aging is open Monday through Friday for socialization, education, crafts, card playing, health care screenings, free blood pressure screenings, senior exercises and other activities. All dates of screenings and special activities are announced in the Royalton Recorder column, Senior Scene. The Office on Aging and Senior Center is located in the Deaconess Center Apartments, 13500 Ridge Road. They are accessible by using the center door on the south side of the building.

The Office on Aging provides free assistance medical paperwork, social services, information on Medicaid, nursing homes, Nursing Home Ombudsman, food bank, Salvation Army Service Unit and other programs. They also provide assistance with all government programs, including Golden Buckeye, HEAP, disability programs, Homestead programs, etc.

If you donít know where to look for help, call the Office on Aging at 440-582-6333. They offer information and referral for senior citizens, handicapped and all other residents.
